What Went Well in 2024: A Year in Review
As we close the chapter on another year, I pause to reflect on the moments, milestones, and growth that defined 2024. This year has been full of lessons and celebrations, from personal achievements to professional triumphs. Here’s a look back at what went well this year:
Exploring User-Generated Content as a Service Offering
This year, I leaped into offering user-generated content (UGC) as a core service at KMD Marketing + Design. The demand for authentic, relatable content in the digital space is higher than ever, and diving into UGC has been rewarding and challenging. Seeing clients benefit from real, audience-driven engagement has solidified this as a key pillar in my services.
SEO Services with New Tools
One of the biggest highlights this year was expanding my SEO offerings. I introduced an SEO enhancer download, which provided clients with actionable strategies to improve their rankings and online visibility. The overwhelmingly positive response proved the power of accessible, high-value resources. Watching clients’ businesses grow through targeted SEO efforts has been incredibly fulfilling.
Continued Education
This year, I had the opportunity to attend a few marketing conferences that reignited my creativity and inspired new approaches to my work. Learning from industry leaders and connecting with peers reminded me of the importance of staying current and embracing change in the ever-evolving marketing world.
Rebuilding Physical Strength: A Personal Victory
On a personal note, 2024 marked a significant milestone in my health journey. After about 15 months of challenges, I received the anticipated answers I was searching for and began rebuilding my physical strength at the gym. Let me tell you, the ability to move freely and confidently is something I’ll never take for granted again. This process has been empowering, reminding me of the resilience we all carry within us.
Rest and Family Time
Continuing to prioritize rest and family time paid off immensely this year. From quiet weekends at home to more intentional days off, these moments were grounding and rejuvenating. Family remains the cornerstone of everything I do, and this year reminded me why balance is key.
Working While Traveling
2024 was a year of exploration and flexibility as I found ways to balance work and travel. From a rejuvenating getaway with my husband in Arizona to family vacations in the Black Hills and Colorado and even two girls’ trips, one to Napa Valley and the other to Galena, IL, I embraced the joy of working remotely while soaking in new experiences. Each trip was a reminder that blending work with life is possible with the right mindset and tools.
Networking and Building a Personal Brand
While I didn’t network as much as I had hoped, my efforts to build a personal brand paid off. LinkedIn became a space for me to share ideas and engage in meaningful conversations, and I saw a noticeable increase in engagement. Every post and interaction strengthened my position as a thought leader in marketing—a role I’m excited to expand in the coming year.
Serving Clients and Seeing Growth
Nothing brings me more joy than watching my clients succeed. This year, their growth often meant putting my business development on hold—a trade-off I’d make any day. From new campaigns to strategic pivots, every project was a reminder of the impact we can create together.
Looking Ahead to 2025
As I plan for 2025, my focus is clear: continue building my brand as a thought leader and invest in professional growth through a new certification. Networking will remain a priority, as will finding ways to serve clients even better. Here’s to a new year of possibilities and purpose.
Reflecting on 2024 has been a powerful reminder of how far I’ve come—personally and professionally. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. Cheers to a new year of growth, connection, and success!
